I have a 91 TT that had a spark plug break off in one of the cylinders so now need to replace the engine. I also have a blueprinted 96 TT engine (forged rods/pistons) that I would like to drop in but I know the heads are different due to the changes they made for the OBDII requirements. Can I simply replace the cams in the heads and still use the rest of the '96 heads, or are there other differences in the heads/engine that I need to consider? The reason I ask is that the '96 heads are ported and polished, so I would prefer to use them if I can, but I don't want to create other issues in doing so. Any input is greatly appreciated, including if there are other things I need to consider in this project.
